Afghanistan’s national holidays (religious festivals)

Afghanistan has many national holidays that normally to be called religious festivals. Amongst all the most important are as follows:
- Two religious Eid al-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha, National Day, Nawruz or the New Day, etc. Nawruz is just like Chinese Spring Festival, a good time for family reunion. We dress-up well, especially the young girls and boys with their new ornamented clothes, families serving spinach with rice in the pre-evening of Nowruz arrival. During that period every where is full of flowers and roses. Red rose festival in northern-sites of Afghanistan, particularly in Mazar -e- Sharif (one of famous province of Afghanistan) is very famous, starts with Nowruz and last for frothy days.

Notwithstanding, Buzkashi (horseback) is one of the ancient unique games played in Afghanistan, particularly during the festivals. The name of this game is perhaps derived from hunting mountain goats by ancient champions in horseback. This festival celebrates almost in every parts of the country, particularly influenced at the grater extend to the Northern-region of Afghanistan.
